Martina Bucci
Villa Abbondanzi Resort was born from the intuition of Bucci Family, a family of entrepreneurs active in Faenza since the First World War.
The passion of Massimo Bucci for nature and the oasis of well-being, inherited from his father Roberto, and his continuous search for excellence in hospitality, in service and catering, took concrete form with the creation of this resort that is managed today by Massimo's daughter, Martina Bucci.
The history of Villa Abbondanzi begins around the 1820s, when Giorgio Abbondanzi commissioned its construction, remaining the property of the Abbondanzi family until 1888.
In that year, the property was sold to Princess Maria della Pace Odescalchi, belonging to one of the most important families in Italy.
After the property passed into the hands of the children, the Villa was sold again in 1899 and, later, in 1901 to Cav. Giuseppe Bacchettoni.
From this moment the Villa takes on a new configuration: its value is spent as an entrance fee in the nascent Agricultural Society "Le Sirene" (1919), a meeting of entrepreneurs with the aim of supporting the farming industry of the territory.
In 1942, Col. Carlo Bucci reunited the shares of the entire company, until becoming its sole administrator. It is under the surname of the Bucci that the residence takes new life, starting from the park, which was restored to its original splendor eliminating the signs of time and war.
After the death of his father, his sons Roberto and Giovanni Bucci decided to transform the Villa into a residence, having restored not only the paintings and furnishings, but entirely: the upper part with the loggia remained intact, the ground floor came, instead, provided for residential use.
Roberto Bucci decided to redesign the natural setting of the Villa, which was damaged by the war. They were planted decides of trees, of which some of the territory and others imported and of great rarity.
Upon the death of Roberto Bucci, the Villa was inherited by his sons Stefano and Massimo Bucci, who still run the Villa.
In 2004 the two brothers decided to complete the work of their father, renovating and upgrading the buildings next to the structure.
In 2006 the hospitality business was started and, since then, they have invested in improving the service offered to their guests.
